About Treehouse

Oh boy, let me tell you about my home in Treehouse Village! At first, I thought it would be a village made entirely of treehouses, but it turns out that’s not the case. It’s actually a cohousing community where people have their own homes but also share common areas and a deep sense of community.

My mom and dad live in a cozy flat that’s just the right size for us. We have everything we need, like a kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. But there are also other flats where our friends and neighbors live. We share a big garden where we grow veggies and herbs, and soon there will even be a greenhouse where we can grow things year-round.

One of my favorite things about Treehouse Village is the common house. It’s like a big living room and kitchen that everyone can use. Sometimes we have potluck dinners there, where everyone brings a dish to share. And there’s always someone around to play with or go for a walk with. It makes me sad that I have to sit outside the common house and look it at all that food falling on the floor and going to waste. I told mom I would volunteer to clean the floors but alas, I am not allowed inside.

What I love most about living in Treehouse Village is the sense of community. Everyone knows each other and looks out for each other, and there are lots of kids to play with, as well as a few of other four legged friends. If my mom and dad are ever out of town, I know I can go stay with one of our neighbors. And if someone needs help with something, we all pitch in.

I may not have a treehouse to live in, but I think living in Treehouse Village is even better. It’s a special place where people come together to take care of each other and the planet. Plus, I get to make lots of new friends and get lots of pets and treats!
