One day, my mom took me to the Treehouse construction site to help out with a work party. I was excited to see all the people and play with my friends, but when we got there, things didn’t go as planned.
Mom went upstairs to help with some work, but the stairs were really scary. They were steep and rickety, and I didn’t like climbing them at all. My friend Sue encouraged me to keep trying. I tried to follow her, but my paws kept slipping, and I was afraid I’d fall.
When I turned around there was a great view of the construction site. One day this will be my home and I can imagine myself playing with all the Treehouse kids.

When I finally made it to the top, I was so relieved to see that there was something yummy to eat. I gobbled it up without even thinking, but then I started feeling sick. It turns out that what I ate was something I shouldn’t have, and I ended up puking all over the place.
Mom was really worried about me and decided that I shouldn’t come to the construction site during work parties anymore unless I was only outside playing. I was a little disappointed, but I understood that she was just looking out for my safety.
Now when we go to the construction site, I’m not allowed upstairs, but that’s okay. I’m happy just playing outside with my friends and getting lots of pets and attention. And Mom always makes sure to bring some treats that are safe for me to eat, so I never feel left out.
Even though I didn’t have the best experience at the construction site, I know that Treehouse Village is going to be an amazing place once it’s finished. And who knows, maybe when the stairs are safer, I’ll be able to climb them without any problems!
